The chances of survival while being stranded

There are so many TV shows and movies which relate to people being stranded on an island. It’s a scary thought but unpredictable things happen. The idea of being stranded may apply to those who aren’t fans of boats, cruises or even flying. Movies and books such as The Lord of the Flies, Lost and The 100 are popular for having a story line with some sort of airplane or spaceship crash.

Although it’s entertaining to read and watch these films, it’s interesting to find out how most people would actually deal with this situation. With limited resources available, there is a fair chance of one to survive all depending on the type of environment and living conditions.

If I were alone in this situation, I would feel definitely feel some sense of panic. Other than trying to survive, it would be a nightmare to be stranded on an island. After dealing with an airplane crash, I wouldn’t really know what to do from there on. The idea of being stranded is not only scary and dangerous, but it is also a common fear among people today. By watching films about being stranded, I would hope most people know how to survive in a situation like that. It turns out that the chances of survival are pretty high for someone who is suited for the situation. By finding food and water along with building a shelter, it would last the person a few days until rescue. As long as the person avoids injury, the struggle wouldn’t be too bad.
