Men’s Lacrosse drops to 0-4

Saturday’s loss to Harvard from Men’s Lacrosse didn’t start well for the Hawks as the visitors took the game 16-9. Now with an 0-4 start on the season the Hawks look to senior Dylan Jinks to put the team on his back, picking up his third hat trick of the season in the loss. Harvard came out of the faceoff looking ready to play scoring eight of the game’s first nine goals to take a significantly lead with only 5:24 until halftime. Jinks would go on to score one of three of his points to bring them within striking distance. Harvard, before the end of the half, would go on to add two more to take the 10-2 lead at the break. A good start to the second half for the Hawks brought them within reach (11-5) with 8:46 left in the third, this is the closest the Hawks would be as Harvard scored three of the next four points. With the game out of reach, the Hawks would manage to score three more points but in the end, met defeat. Freshman Andrew Boniface and Trepeta both finished the game with multiple goals apiece. Hartford in the loss shows some signs of improvement as they had the lead in faceoffs (15-12) with junior Nolan Little going (7 of 9) and Classmate Nicholas Vazquez going (8 for 17). Cam Logan made his debut in goal for the Hawks, having 12 saves. Men’s Lacrosse hopes to bounce back and hits the road against Manhattan on March 5, starting at 3 p.m.
