Demi Lovato is definitely in need of much love and a virtual hug through these challenging times. We all know what heartbreak is like, but going through a split so publicly is very different.

Demi Lovato got together with her quarantine bae Young and the Restless star Max Erich about six months ago. The love connection was so strong between the two that they announced their engagement four months after dating. Now we all love Demi. We have grown up watching her, seen her battle with addiction, overcome issues within her family and personal life, and heard the passion in her amazing vocals at her performances at the Grammys. She pushed through and shocked all of us numerous times, but this was an all-time low for her.

She spoke about her love for Erich and how good he made her feel. They posted many cute photos together, and Lovato even appeared on his Instagram live stream. The relationship seemed picture-perfect for the two, but yet again, so do most things on social media.

Like any couple, however, they had ups and downs within their relationship like when old tweets resurfaced from Erich talking about how he was crushing on Selena Gomez, a former Lovato friend. Now that was years ago, and it seemed as if Demi did not care, claiming they “were not real tweets.” They kept their relationship going, but what we saw as a happy couple was not was it seemed to be.

Two months later, it became apparent that they had split up, removing photos of one another from their social media. Erich falsely claimed that he did not even know about their split and found out through the press.

As humans, we have a good intuition when we know we are being used or someone is getting something out of us. We may have speculations, but it never really occurs to us to do something about it. Well, Lovato did not hesitate as she saw how much fame and attention he was getting just from being with her. This made her feel a bit unsure of the relationship’s values, so she ended things with Erich.

After their split, Erich went straight to Instagram live to talk about it. He cried and claimed how much he still and will love his dearest, Demetria. He even said how he felt this was all a publicity stunt for Lovato’s new song called Still Have Me. He kept going on, saying, “I thought I found the real deal, now I found out that I was used. But I hope the song is number one, because you know what, if that’s what someone wants in the material world, here you go, you have it. ‘I hope this makes you happy. Enjoy. You just lost someone who loved you fully, completely, infinitely, for everything.”

Reports from Lovato’s sources say she is embarrassed about how public this went and would like to move on and focus on herself for the time being.

Fan wants Demi to know they support her decision and maturity and wish her all the best while recovering from the breakup.
