Killers Next Door: New Trailer Confirms Release Date for Season 3 of Netflix Hit, “You”
September 22, 2021
Fans of hit Netflix drama You can rejoice as another installment is about to shed more light on the murderous life of Joe Goldberg. Season 3 of the show has just had its release date, October 15th, confirmed with the release of a new trailer.
The show will see the return of Penn Badgley, playing Joe the killer stalker, and Victoria Pedretti, who plays his girlfriend, Love.
According to the trailer, Joe and Love are now newlyweds taking care of their baby, Henry, after having moved into the California suburb of Madre Linda. In the past two seasons, Joe had a habit of being followed by rather murderous tendencies. A baby seems to change all that.
In the previous teaser for the new season, Joe’s signature voice-over hung over everything as he said to his unborn son, “For you, I can change. I’ll be a man you look up to. A man you will be proud to call dad.” Time will tell whether or not those words ring true.
The second season ended up dropping a bombshell for fans, showing that Love was capable of murder too. Not only did she know what Joe had been doing, but she stalked him just as he stalked others, and her love for Joe remained despite everything. Now it seems the two of them could end up killing as a family.
Nevertheless, the new season will bring two new members to the cast. This announcement includes Shalita Grant of NCIS fame and Travis VanWinkle, who appeared in the 2009 film Friday the 13th.
Netflix also released an official synopsis for the new season, which is as follows:
“In Season 3, Joe and Love, now married and raising their baby, have moved to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers, and Insta-famous biohackers. Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness. And then there’s his heart. Could the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door? Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing. But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to your tricks? Well, that’ll prove a much more complicated escape.”
