RA’s Programs are Back!

Maddie Gill, Managing Editor

Living with your RA may seem like a scary thing, but it has made me realize how much work they put into getting to know their residents. Whether it be making the fun door decorations with our names and pronouns on them or covering the windows in the neighborhoods with inspiring quotes and pictures, there is a lot that goes into getting people involved in campus activities.
Let’s be honest, are you reading all the emails from your RA if it doesn’t pertain to a mandatory floor meeting? I suspect not. I am guilty of it too, but now I know that there are many resources offered through RA’s programs. I have been to a couple of programs this year, including a coloring session and a hang out with my RA’s dog, Tubby! As far as I know, there have been sessions to meditate, practice yoga, make tie-dye shirts, and so much more! Although not everyone has the opportunity to step away from their busy schedules to attend these programs, it is worth it if you do get the chance to. It offers a chance to relax and get to know your neighbors, as well as your RA who is your ally if any problems arise.
