Former Star Hartford Hawk Basketball Player Turned Pro in the NBA and G-League

Ellison transferred from Pittsburgh, and St John’s University where he played on both teams during his undergraduate career. Ellison was a graduate transfer player on the Hartford Hawks Men’s Basketball team during the 2019-2020 season. Malik Ellison played guard /forward as a position on the basketball court as a member of the team. Ellison played with a familiar teammate from High School in Traci Carter, in his season as a hawk. 

During his time as a hawk, he played 23 games, 35.0 minutes per game, and 18.7 points per game. He also received an accolade for his talents on the court in his year as Hawk. This past October, he became a member of the Atlanta Hawks G-League affiliate team (College Park Skyhawks). On Christmas Day, he briefly signed on with the NBA team Atlanta Hawks for a 10-day contract.  He wasn’t signed on again by the NBA team after his 10-day contract was up. As a member of the G- league team, he plays shooting guard on the basketball court. On the court, his stats are 27.0 mins, and 11.7 points per game so far in his career.
