With the Lombardi Trophy on the line, the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals went to battle at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California for Super Bowl 56. In the regular season, the Rams went 12-5, finishing atop of the NFC West and fourth overall in the conference. On the other side, the Bengals finished the regular season with a 10-7 record, placing them first in the AFC North and fourth overall in the conference. On their road to the Super Bowl, the Bengals won an impressive three straight playoff games away from the jungle in Cincinnati.

After a tightly defended ten minutes of football in the first quarter, the Rams started the scoring when Matthew Stafford hit Odell Beckham Jr. in the end zone off a 17-yard pass. Unfortunately for Odell, he left the game mid-second quarter with a non-contact knee injury, later deemed a torn ACL.

With only 5:45 left on the clock in the second quarter, the Bengals pulled a play from their bag of tricks when running back Joe Mixon threw a dime to Tee Higgins in the end zone to tighten the gap with a first-half score of 13-10.

After a huge third quarter, the Bengals came out on top leading at the end of the quarter with a 20-16 score. The fourth quarter came down to the wire as both teams were on fire defensively. The Rams got the ball back late in the fourth quarter and drove down the field in hopes of bringing the Lombardi Trophy to LA. Matthew Stafford dropped back in the pocket from the one-yard line and connected with Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp to give the Rams a slight edge. With a ring on the line, Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald sacked Joe Burrow to secure the win. The Los Angeles Rams are your Super Bowl 56 champions and are off to Disneyland.
