Start Your Own Graduate Student Club or Organization

Start Your Own Graduate Student Club or Organization

Kasey Zollo, News Editor

Are you an upcoming senior looking to start graduate school here at the University of Hartford? Or are you already a graduate student? Well, now, you have the opportunity to create a student club or organization with graduate students who have the same interests or major as you!

Most organizations here are only for undergraduate students, and once you are out of that academic range, you are no longer allowed to be in these clubs or organizations. Well, now you have the chance to create an organization as a graduate student. Whether your club is similar to the one you were a part of as an undergraduate student or completely different, this will give you a way to connect with fellow peers and build your resume even more.

In order to create your own club or organization, you are required to complete an application, as well as find a faculty advisor to oversee everything at a professional level. To begin this process of proposing your ideas for a graduate student club or organization, as well as learn more about the steps that need to be taken, email Dr. Jessica York, Dean or Graduate Studies and Research at [email protected].
