UHart’s Career Studio Upcoming Events

Lillian Wonderly, Entertainment Editor

At the Office of Career and Professional Development, student workers are trained and paid to help peers with resumes and job searches. They also challenge students to explore career paths, learn new skills, and network with industry experts. The Career Studio helps connect students with career communities that empower them to find jobs. The Career Studio also offers mock interviews where students can get advice on interviewing strategies and learn how to use LinkedIn to network professionally. The studio is located in GSU Room 203, near the front entrance.

There is a virtual TypeFocus event on March 31 from 2:10–2:40 PM where students take a personality, interests, values, and skills assessment to better understand which occupations are best suited for their personalities. On April 3, in the Career Studios from 1–3:30 PM, there will be LinkedIn headshots. As students eagerly wait for an opportunity to get a professional headshot, the career studio offers students multiple opportunities to claim a complimentary headshot per academic year. Students can use these photos on LinkedIn or any other professional platform to promote their personal brand. Students are encouraged to dress professionally from the waist up for the event. Spots fill up fast; students can register here: https://calendly.com/uhartcareer/headshot-clinics-spring23?month=2023-03.
