Yeung Shines at Hartford Hawks Invitational

The Hartford women’s golf team hosted the Hartford Hawks Invitational this past weekend at the Gillette Ridge Golf Course in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Out of the nine-team playing field, the Hawks finished in fourth place as a team. Senior Lara Yeung shined on home turf as she finished tied for third place overall.

She carded a seven-over 79 on the first day, going into the second day tied for second place. In the opening round, she carded two birdies, five bogeys, and two double bogeys. On the second day, she shot a six-over 78, staying very consistent throughout the tournament. Quinnipiac’s Emily Luu took home first place individually as she shot an eight-over in the first round and the tournament-best one-over in round two.

The next Hawks golfer to finish was Lily Moreau who carded a 14-over 86 in both rounds to tie for 25th. On the first day, she shot two birdies and seven bogeys. Grace Farland was the next golfer up carding a 15-over 177. She had 16 bogeys, seven double bogeys, and a triple bogey. To round out the team scoring for Hartford was Leslie Li, who finished with 17-over 183.
