Have you heard of the Connecticut Poetry Circuit Tour? If not, read closely, as this may be the perfect opportunity for you!
One student poet from the University of Hartford has the honor of being selected to compete in this competition alongside other student poets from all throughout the state of Connecticut. In the end, there will be five winners who will receive the opportunity to perform at colleges and universities around Connecticut as part of the Connecticut Poetry Circuit Tour. The victors will take part in a compensated experience in which they will receive payment for each reading they finish. However, you must be available to read at the planned reading hours in order to participate. The readings will take place in the evenings of 2024. Start submitting now since Friday, October 13th, is the due date!
You must submit five pages of poetry, with no more than one poem on each page, in order to be taken into consideration. A poem may span more than one page. Additionally, avoid signing your name on the poems themselves and instead include a cover letter with your work that includes your name, contact information (phone, email, etc.), and the titles of your pieces. After everything has been finished, send a.docx file (NOT a pdf!) to [email protected]. Good luck, poets!
