“In a world full of violence, anger, and hostility towards one another, the University of Hartford finds it important to hold conversations on the topic of violence occurring throughout our community.”
Amidst a world marked by conflict and divisiveness, the University of Hartford recognizes the significance of addressing violence within our community. In the words of Hannah Arendt, “Power and violence are opposites; where one rules absolutely, the other is absent. Violence appears where power is in jeopardy, but left to its own course, it ends in power’s disappearance.”
