The DEIJ Networking event will be coming up soon, hosted through SGA! It will be taking place on Friday, April 12th, from 4:00PM- 7:00PM in the 1877 Club. The event is being held to encourage students who participate to explore the modern workplace, gather more information about networking with other students or alumni in the workforce, and meet peers from other schools.
What makes the DEIJ Networking Event unique and stand out from other career-related events is the fact that it goes beyond traditional networking by focusing on themes of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The alumni attending will share their experiences, emphasizing what they have learned through their journey about diversity and inclusivity. These alumni are carefully chosen, some having been past affinity club leaders, in order to engage the students and uncover skills, internships, and insights that support marginalized communities, all through structured discussions. This will then foster an environment for sharing experiences and planning for the future. The goal that this event strives to accomplish is to urge participants to envision and fuel thinking of a future where DEIJ principles drive success.
All students from any major or background are encouraged to sign up!
