This past week, the University of Hartford Men’s lacrosse team played two games, winning one and losing the other, putting the team’s record currently at 3-5.
On April 3rd, the Hawks defeated Nichols College in a hard-fought comeback win by a score of 10-9. After being down 5-1 after the first quarter, the men outscored their opponent 9-4 the rest of the game, with Jake Ojert scoring the game-winning goal with five seconds left on the clock.
Aidan Erza had three goals to lead the team, while Ethan Hunt scored two of his own. Aidan Kemp had two assists.
In the next game on April 6th, the team lost to Endicott by a score of 19-6. The Hawks unfortunately played down from behind for most of the game and were not able to keep up with Endicott, who has a 10-1 record. Ethan Hunt and Justin Pezzolesi both scored two goals to lead the team, while Christopher Ledwick had 18 saves in the net.
The Men’s lacrosse team has two more games this week. The first is on April 9th and the second is on April 13th, as they have two CCC matches against Wentworth Institute of Technology and the University of New England.
