The Salt+Lime is a local restaurant that serves delicious Mexican cuisine. The décor and environment of the location feel warm and inviting, with a very welcoming staff. They offer outdoor seating and indoor booths and tables, along with a stand-alone bar section for our senior students! Though they do offer non-alcoholic versions of drinks as well.
From Burritos and Tacos to Fajitas and Carne Asada, their variety of entrée dishes are amazing. They include vegetarian substitutions and salads so that it is inviting to those with dietary restrictions. The Birria Tacos was a personal favorite, three corn tortillas filled with a marinated and slowed cooked beef in their birria sauce, along with onions, rice, beans, cilantro, and served with their own made birria consommé or dipping sauce. For dessert, their Tres Leches cake was a fantastic ender to a meal, using three different milks (sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk and cream or milk). And all for a reasonable price at $20-30 per person so this restaurant is a perfect off-campus alternative for UHart Students. They are located at 179 Park Rd, West Hartford (~10 minutes from UHart) and has a parking option for drivers. The Salt+Lime Mexican Cantina is a greatly recommended spot for students who seek a nice restaurant experience with great food to match.
