With the first week of Plate Debate in the books, we at the Informer have become even more excited to continue this video series throughout the semester. Heading into The Commons, we were unsure if people would be willing to participate or even enjoy the segment. The reception we received was overwhelmingly positive! People were volunteering to be on camera and eager to voice their opinions. Hopefully, we can see the same level of engagement in the future, as our main goal is to be the main vessel for relaying the student body’s opinions. As for the results of week one, it would seem that the mac and cheese from the sauté bar was a fan favorite, receiving high scores and a 100% “Smack” rate. On the other hand, the beef and potatoes from the entrée station slightly missed the mark, as they received a mix of “Smacks” and “Wacks.”
