On Saturday, February 22, the Hartford Men’s Basketball Team snapped their 13-game losing streak with an 87-74 win at Curry College.
The Hawks’ fifth win of the season was propelled by a standout performance from freshman Troy Santos, scoring 25 points and racking up 4 steals. Santos’ scoring was complemented by Drew Stack, as the duo combined for nine three-pointers. Stack finished the game with 14 points.
In addition to Santos and Stack’s impressive perimeter shooting, River Eberhart played a pivotal role off the bench, scoring 16 Points and 9 Rebounds. These performances, paired with those of the rest of the Hawks, gave them the spark they needed to pull away.
The win concluded the Hawks’ regular season, finishing with a record of 5-20. Though the season did not go as well as anyone would have liked, this final win will give the young team the confidence it needs as they head into the offseason.
