The University of Hartford’s golf team has been on a hot streak recently, placing first in its last three tournaments across New England. Their winning ways began at the Conference of New England Championships, where the Hawks totaled a score of +17, finishing the tournament ahead by 11 strokes. Griffin La Londe led the team on day 1, with a score of 2 under par. Zach MacMillan led the team over 2 rounds with a score of 2 over par and placed 2nd individually in the tournament.
This success continued at the Battle at Bull’s Bridge, where Hartford placed first with a total score of +17, winning the tournament by 17 strokes. Yet again, another spectacular stroke margin. Zach MacMillan and Manolo Vargas paced the way, each scoring 2 over par and sharing the top individual honors.
The Hawks capped off a dominant run at the NEIGA Championships, placing first out of 22 total teams. Macmillan and Shawn Amari led the team in scores with 3 over par, tying for 3rd place out of 119 total participants. With three straight wins, Hartford has established itself as a dominant force in the New England Division III golf scene.
