UHart Talent: Meet Federico Sarno

Asia Arce, Entertainment Editor

Federico Sarno is a junior at the University of Hartford studying photography in the Art School. Originally from Milan, Italy, Sarno has been interested in photography since the age of 13. “At the age of 13 I started to gain interest in photography but I picked up a camera for the first time when I was 16 since then I never stopped taking pictures”. To him, taking pictures is a way to express himself. He hopes that through his own pictures, those that view them make up their own meanings behind them, even if they do not match his own. While choosing a college can be very stressful, Sarno does not regret his choice of UHart, “Having professors and peers to critique your work is always helpful, they always find a way to push you to the next level”. This push is something that he welcomes with open arms. Without it, who knows what the future will hold for him. In terms of his future, the Italian photographer isn’t scared, even if his vision changes. However, all he knows right now is photography, more specifically fashion photography. His work can be found on Instagram, with the handle @federicosarno, or on his official website: federicosarno.com.
