With season twenty-eight of the ABC series “Dancing With The Stars” already in week three, the contestants have to step-up their games as the competition gets more underway. Two contestants in Particular, Ray Lewis and Lamar Odom have caught the attention of not just the sports world, but also the American Public. Both Ray Lewis and Lamar Odom took on the dance style the cha-cha-cha for week three, with both stars being cited by the judges as trying, but not good enough.

Lewis and his professional partner Cheryl Burke were to dance the cha-cha-cha on week three, however, due to a foot injury sustained in practice, Lewis was forced to drop out of the competition only after a three dances. In statement made by Lewis to his professional partner Cheryl “This is probably one of the hardest decisions of my life but I need to make sure I don’t damage something enough to where I can’t walk.” He also stated that “It’s bothered me a lot,” said Lewis, “I’ve dealt with pain every practice, I push through anything.” However, in this case, he pushed through so hard that his foot got worse. Lewis’s doctor informed him that he tore three tendons and would require surgery. The doctor said, “You kept dancing on that until it actually ruptured.”

On Monday nights show, Lewis expressed his happiness about being on the show and is looking forward to staying in ballroom for the remainder of the competition, watching the other celebrities compete. Former NFL player and season twenty-four champion Rashad Jennings took Lewis’s place on the dance floor with dancer Cheryl Burke, as they dance a cha-cha-cha to the song “Twist and Shout” from the movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” doing movie night on Dancing With The Stars.

On the other hand, even though Lamar Odom is improving in confidence, the same can’t be said about his continuing low scores. Odom and his professional partner Peta Murgatroyd dance also the same style of dance as Lewis was to performed, the cha-cha-cha. A dance routine that still earn Odom a total-score of 12 out of 30 for the night, as he dances to the song “Old Time Rock and Roll” from the movie “Risky Business” doing movie night on the dance competition show. Odom and his partner Peta were in the bottom two as the lowest couples of the night, however, were declared safe with also in bottom, actor Kel Mitchell and his professional partner Witney Carson as Lewis withdrew from the competition due to his injury.

Catch the Odom competed against Sailor Brinkley-Cook, Ally Brooke, Kel Mitchel and Hannah Brown in a quest to win the mirrorball trophy during week four of the competition, as the remaining ten celebrities tackle on another unlearned dance style.
