The Denver Nuggets have made history as the first team to come back from down 3-1 twice in one playoff!  The NBA bubble has been interesting, but now as the Nuggets beat the LA Clippers in the Western Conference Semifinals things are heating up.  They are set to face the 1 seed Lakers in the Western Conference Finals while the Celtics face the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Nuggets have really been remarkable in these playoffs led by their young stars Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.  They faced the Utah Jazz, led by Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, in a wild first-round series including two 50-point games each for Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell.  The Nuggets won the first game of the series then lost the next three.  The Nuggets then facing elimination won the next 3 games to win the series.  It was a fantastic scoring duel between two great young guards and two great centers.  They then moved on to face the Clippers.

Last offseason the LA Clippers became title contenders immediately after the acquisitions of Kawhi Leonard in Free Agency and Paul George in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder.  The Battle of LA has been hyped up since then as the Lakers and Clippers have been the two top favorites for the NBA title.  However, to many fans disappointment, we won’t get to see that matchup this year.  The Clippers and Nuggets split games one and two.  Then, the Clippers won the next two to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.  At this point, many had counted out the Nuggets and fans were ready for the Battle of LA.  However, the Nuggets were determined to do the improbable again as they took the next two games and finally won game 7 in a blowout.

The Nuggets are a scary team and will continue to be for a long time with their talented young core and great coaching staff.  The rest of the league better watch out!
