Elliot Page, the star of Juno, Inception, and The Umbrella Academy came out as Transgender and his pronouns are he/they.

Around noon EST, he posted a statement on his twitter handle, @TheElliotPage. He expressed how grateful he is for the support he’s gotten on his journey, and how remarkable it feels for him to love himself for who he truly is.

In his statement, Elliot expressed the joys he feels in coming out as well as the fright he feels towards this major life change. He promises the LGBTQ+ community to stand by them and fight for change in the treatment of this strong and loving body of people.

“To all trans people who deal with harassment, self-loathing, abuse and the threat of violence every day: I see you, I love you and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better,” Page writes in his statement.

Elliot Page received lots of supportive and loving messages on Twitter; including one from Jen Richards, a writer, actor, and trans advocate; and ones from The Umbrella Academy’s Twitter handle and Netflix’s twitter handle.
