Congratulations, Seattle, you now have an NHL team. The team’s name is the Seattle Kraken, and they will be playing in the NHL’s Western conference for the 2021-2022 season. Their logo is like that weird S you used to draw in high school, except it is with a Kraken. The Kraken is the first NHL team to play in Seattle since the Seattle Totems did in 1975. They are also their first team to compete for the Stanley Cup in Seattle since 1924 with the Seattle Metropolitans (Seriously, who is coming up with these names), who won the Stanley Cup in 1917. The Kraken has also filled their roster for this year. With their team’s creation, this put the NHL at 32 teams which ties them with the NFL. Their colors are Dark Blue, Turquoise, and Red. The name comes from Seattle’s history of being on the coast and being a major port city
