When it came to decorating my laptop case with stickers, I initially went for a specific aesthetic. I have yet to see anyone I know have a particular color scheme, or theme to theirs, so is it just me?

For reference, I have a dark blue, white and black marble patterned case. I wanted to go for an all black and white set of stickers, but found myself missing out on some really cool ones because they didn’t fit with my vision. Not that the stickers I have lack meaning – because they do! I tried to incorporate elements from my favorite TV shows, movies, and other personal interests – but mostly just impulsive buys off of Etsy.

I just feel like, similarly to the emotional support bottle mentioned in a previous article, your laptop should be decorated any way that makes you happy. So, I took the plunge and bought some colorful stickers to add to my collection. Although, after I applied them, I was slightly irked that everything didn’t match. Nonetheless, I got over it because I had much better things to do than worry about something so frivolous. Really, who’s looking at my laptop cover but me? Why bother making it aesthetically pleasing in the first place?

I continue to question my antics. As a PSA though, I do love looking at other people’s laptop stickers as it gives some subtle insight as to who they are.
