The Harford Art School is excited to announce the opening of the Koopman Chair Exhibition. The Exhibition will open on February 24th and its final showing on March 26th.
This exhibit will feature works by John Jude Pelencar and Floyd Cooper in memoriam of this artist. In the Visual Arts Exhibition, their pieces will be part of the Georgette and Richard Koopman Distinguished Chairs.
This Exhibition is an annual event that brings together not only the students but also the teachers. The Koopman Distinguishes Chair is put in place to honor some of the most vibrant contemporary artists in the world of art. They dedicate a semester to share their experiences and expertise with the students of the Hartford Art School. This Exhibition is open to everyone.
Along with the exhibition opening, there will also be a lecture with one of the artists that are a vital piece of this event, John Jude Palencar, which will take place on Friday, February 25th, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. The Exhibition and lecture will be held in the Joseloff Gallery.
