Greek Week at the University of Hartford

Greek Week at the University of Hartford

Lillian Wonderly, Entertainment Editor

Greek Week is kicking off this Wednesday, March 23, from 7 – 9 pm. This is a week-long event for fraternities and sororities at the University of Hartford. During the week, members will participate in competitions such as relay races, Male/Female pageant shows, and puzzles. Through the event, money will be raised for a charity of the chapter’s choice through a penny wars competition.
Currently, there are six sororities and seven fraternities at the University of Hartford. The Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion claims its mission is to develop members of every fraternity and sorority to become value-driven contributors to a larger society. The Office clarifies that there is no place for hazing at the University of Hartford and states. We must hold each chapter, its members, and the entire Greek community accountable and responsible.
Greek Week is a time to celebrate the fraternities and sororities on campus. It allows members of each chapter to come together and celebrate the spirit of Greek pride. If you’re interested in joining a sorority or fraternity or have any questions, email [email protected]
