Peeps Haters

Peeps Haters

This past weekend for Easter, I did in fact overly indulge in an unhealthy amount of marshmallow Peeps. But, it seems to me that they are not as popular as I thought. Considering that they fill aisles in the grocery store annually, I think they are a delicacy.

Except, I can do without them year-round, nor do I think there should continue to be odd flavors. I would prefer to keep them exclusive to Easter and plain! I’m not sure how people can find Peeps “gross”. It’s marshmallow, covered in sugar, shaped like a baby chick or bunny – can it get any cuter. And while all plain peeps are the same, I personally think that certain colors are better than others.

I suppose this has to do with color preference rather than flavor, yellow and pink are unmatched. Now here is where my obsession loses people. Imagine eating them a little bit stale – it’s the best. Whether or not my peers agree, I continue to be the biggest Peeps advocate and I do actually have some ideas on how the company can appeal to more people. However, there is a time and a place for that and I have a sneaking suspicion that not everyone cares as much as me.
