On Saturday, the Hartford men’s soccer team hit the field for a Senior Day match against the Stonehill Skyhawks at home at Al Marzook Stadium. Unfortunately for the Hawks, they could not get it done, as Stonehill stole the win on the road. Hartford fell to 0-7 and the Skyhawks improved to 2-4.

Right off the rip, Hartford goalkeeper Rotem Fadida had to step up to the plate to make an early save in the fifth minute. Fighting back and forth, both sides were not budging, that was until Hawks own Mevlan Lebiti found the back of the net to give Hartford the early 1-0 lead. Hartford would go on to hold the lead through halftime despite the efforts from Stonehill.

The score would remain 1-0, until the 62nd minute of the game when the Skyhawks would capitalize from a free kick followed by a quick goal only one minute later. Being down 2-1, Hartford had to fight hard. In the 79th, Jordan May would draw a foul inside the box giving Hartford a penalty shot. Stepping up to the spot, Demario Cameron would bury his shot past the goalkeeper to tie it up at 2-2. The Skyhawks went on to score a late goal in the 84th minute giving them the win 3-2.
