Senior Manuel Romero led the way for the Hawks this past weekend during the Macdonald Cup at The Course at Yale in New Haven, Connecticut. The Hawks finished 10th overall as a team, finishing with a total score of 1110 between six players. Taking home first place on the team leaderboard was Minnesota with a 1052 across the three rounds.

Being the reigning Big Sky Golfer of the Week, Romero finished the tournament with seven birdies, tying for 25th individually with a score of 216. Junior Conor Byrne was not far behind Romero as he finished tied for 34th with a score of 219. Byrne finished the tournament with 39 pars across 54 holes tying for fourth most across the field. Another stellar performer for the Hawks was junior Michael Amari as he tied for the fourth-best score on par threes. Amari averaged 2.92 strokes on par threes finishing one under par. Conor Byrne hit even across par threes also finishing within the top ten. Taking home, the individual title was Peicheng Chen of St. Johns. Chen finished with a final score of 201 strokes, with his lowest score being a 64 in round one.

Romero and the Hawks will return to the links for the UConn Invitational October 2-4 at Great Horse Golf Club in Hampden, Massachusetts.
