Following the 5-set home opener victory against Stonehill last Thursday, the Hartford Volleyball team looked to stay in the winning column on the road against Sacred Heart this past Sunday. Unfortunately for the Hawks, they would drop all three sets, losing the first set 25-15, the second set 25-16, and the third set 25-17.

Despite what the scoreboard said, the Hawks had some outstanding performances against the Pioneers. They had a total of 30 kills on 103 attempts, along with 28 assists, 2 aces, and 4 blocks. Leading the team in points was third-year outside hitter, Uzezi Ijoma with a total of 9.5. Contributing to the assist column was first-year setter, Kylee Connally, with 25, and third-year setter Lika Nkenchor with 10. Senior outside hitter Greta De Gasper also had an outstanding night contributing to the team with 13 digs and 6 kills.

Hartford will look to bounce back and get another win at home against Smith College on Friday.
