With her wildly successful career, Lindsay Lohan is a household name. From her appearances in Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, and The Parent Trap remake, everyone in our generation has seen at least one project that she’s been in. Although, her name is also associated with her public scandals that seemed to ruin her reputation as the “girl next door”. Since then, her mugshots have adorned tee shirts, her most vulnerable moments plastered all over gossip magazines, and she has become the butt of everyone’s jokes.

But what about her acting? Her mistakes say little about her talent – and now that she is on the straight and narrow, her career is being revitalized. While her new Christmas movie for Netflix is incredibly cheesy, Lindsay’s appearances on her press tour are giving her the exposure that she has been needing for some time now. Many people (like myself early on) doubted that she could ever return to the screen because of her past behavior. Her reputation as a ‘diva’ on set supposedly made it even more difficult to work with her – on top of her failure to show up on time as a result of her substance abuse.

However, her ability to make fun of herself and public attempts to be better to win over audiences, show that she is capable of setting herself up for success in the future.
