With essentially every TV show ever made available to us on streaming services, it has become the norm to watch something start to finish as fast as possible, just because you can. I’ve binged watched shows many times. Sometimes the same shows over and over again. But there’s always the same feeling of emptiness when you watch that last episode of the series. Last night, I just came off of a Big Bang Theory binge that lasted me all through winter break until now. Twelve long, hilarious seasons over, and now I don’t know what to do with myself. I realize I was super behind to only just now be seeing the show, but I have to say that it has made the list as one of my favorites. But now, I’m stuck in a rut deciding what to watch next. When you watch a show for so long, it becomes routine. You watch it when you eat, lay in bed, need a break from schoolwork, etcetera. Do I watch The Office again? Another comfort show? Or do I venture out of my comfort zone to find something else that people rave about. As a film and television buff, you would think I like finding new things to watch – and I do! But indecisiveness and fear of being let down will be the death of me.
