Daniel Roy, News Editor

The Hartt Theatre Division at the University of Hartford will begin its week-wide performance of its newest play “Pippin,” this Thursday, March 2nd, from 7:30 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.

The performance has been pieced together by Kevin Ramsey, Theater Division Director; Assistant Professor of Theater at UHART, who detailed a brief synopsis of the play’s plot in a UNotes AD, accessible through the Universities Website:

“The time is 780 AD, during the reign of Charlemagne. The show uses the story of Pippin, (heir to the throne), to tell the tale of his self-discovery. His journey for fulfillment and a meaningful life takes him through War, Family, Sex, Politics, Immortality…until he finally finds contentment with….?”

Tickets are on sale now starting at $10 and will be sold at the front of the Millard Auditorium. Students, staff, and faculty attending UHART are of eligibility to attend the performance for free.

A trigger warning has been issued for “Pippin,” regarding content of a mature nature, which may be upsetting to some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised for anyone uncomfortable with these factors.
