Men’s Lacrosse Undefeated Season

The Hartford Hawks men’s lacrosse team played their final game of the season against Regis College this past week. With ease, the team went on to win by a score of 16-2 to remain undefeated on the year. After a year off for the Hartford men’s lacrosse team, they came back firing on all cylinders this season. From the flashy offense to the stifling defense, this Hawks team had it all this year. John Furino led the team with six goals, while Aidan Kemp and Eric Kelly each scored four goals of their own to help lead the charge on offense in the game. Griffin Weller led the team with four assists, while John Furino and Aidan Kemp picked up two apiece. Weller ends the season with a team-high 24 assists. Andrew Leibold played the first half in goal, saving six shots, while Cole Zering played the second half, also saving six shots. Hartford scored eight goals in both halves to get them to victory on the road in their final game of the season.

With the win, Hartford finishes their season with a perfect 6-0 record. The team scored 91 goals while only allowing 21. The team went 99-36 in faceoffs and only committed 25 penalties in what was the team’s first season since 2021.
