I’m sure you have the same question the majority of campus has every week: What’s going on this weekend?
The University of Hartford has a lot going on this weekend! The Hartford Art School is putting on a “Down and Dirty” event starting on Friday, the 27th, where campus visitors can “enroll” as art students for the day. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages are served at check-in, and then the allotted class or demo is led by an art school staff member. Following that, everyone will reassemble for a community meal where everyone is invited to showcase their work! Also on Friday, the African Student Union will host its annual party called the “Afro-Bashment” beginning at 9:30PM.
The University of Hartford will host “Best Buddies Game Day” on Saturday at 1 PM in Gengras Student Union. The hosts will have a variety of games, including cards, board games, puzzles, and more! In addition, there will be a display of Minoo Emami’s artwork that explores themes of resiliency in his diverse body of work. Viewing self-taught paintings, sculptures, photographs, prints, and videos is a fantastic chance at this exhibition.
