Prepare yourselves for April 18th, because the University of Hartford will be hosting a new– never-before-seen event! All students are invited to participate in the school’s first-ever campus-wide Career Exploration Day! If you missed the Career Fair or are struggling to find your perfect path, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
The University of Hartford has partnered with 11 local organizations that will be giving participating students an exclusive look into their day-to-day operations and how their facilities function. By doing so, students will gain a better understanding of the inner workings of specific organizations or career fields through the shadowing of professionals. There is also the chance to network with current employees at the event. Not only this, but HR will be contacting students directly regarding what each organization is looking for when it comes to hiring future talent. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you wouldn’t want to miss!
Some of the participating organizations include the American Red Cross, Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), Virtus Investment Management, Laz Parking Corporate Office, Triumph, and Stanley Black and Decker. The rest of the organizations that will be there are NBC 30, CT Department of Transportation, CVS Health, Travelers, and several small businesses from Pratt Street Small Business Crawl.
Registration for the event is required, and it’s first come, first serve.
