A celebration of art and creativity has been found on our campus! The student-run literary journal, Aerie, is taking submissions for its new edition. Writing submissions such as “Poetry, fiction, short stories, flash fiction, vignettes, creative non-fiction, personal essays, literary criticism, play scripts, graphic fiction, fan fiction, etc” are being accepted up until this Wednesday, 10/09/24! The journal also takes visual art submissions “such as paintings, photography, collage work, digital design, sculpture, ceramics, etc.” The staff encourages interested parties to reach out if there are other ideas not listed but still interested in submitting. The submission for art pieces is 11/01/24.
Aerie is also excited to announce that they are having an open mic night! This Wednesday at 7 pm by the fire pit located near C Comp and across from The Commons. They would love to see you there and hear your voices! Please note that hot chocolate will also be served!
