Jam Session
On September 23rd, from 8:30 to 10:30 pm, Redtail Records will host a music collaboration night in Hawks Nest, welcoming students from Commercial Music, Classical, Jazz, and other music programs to come together and share their sound. Live equipment will be provided, but musicians using amps and cables are encouraged to bring their own. A sign-up sheet will be distributed prior to the event to help ensure smooth transitions between musicians. Whether you’re performing or just enjoying the music, join for an evening of creativity, connection, and community.
Internship and Career Fair
Join UHart students at the Sports Center Chase Family Arena on September 25th from 11:00am to 3:00pm to check out the Internship and Career Fair! This event will feature over 100 community partners from, for-profit, non-profit, government, and entrepreneurial enterprises. The fair offers a formal setting for students to present their resumes, explore career paths, and discuss potential employment or internship opportunities. The Hartt Wind Ensemble and The Hartt Symphony Band Concert
Join us for an evening of exceptional music as The Hartt Wind Ensemble and The Hartt Symphony Band present their first concert of the season on Friday, September 26th, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM in Lincoln Theater. This performance will showcase the talent and artistry of two of Hartt’s nationally recognized ensembles, featuring a program of powerful works. Human Marks: Tattooing in Contemporary Art
In the Joseloff Gallery, from September 11th to December 13th, the display Human Marks: Tattooing in Contemporary Art will be exploring convergences between tattoo culture and global contemporary art. This exhibit presents a spectrum of artists who maintain both tattoo and studio practices as well as a range of surprising pieces through themes of ritual, ethics and identity. The Gallery is open for students, free of admission, from 12:00 to 6:00PM on Mondays through Thursdays and from 1:00 to 5:00PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Skin of Our Teeth
From October 2nd through 5th, The Hartt School will be performing Thorton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning epic comedy, The Skin of Our Teeth. Performed by Hartt’s talented cast, this imaginative production follows the eccentric Antrobus family as they navigate disaster with unexpected humor and enduring hope. Held in the Millard Auditorium, this performance is 10 dollars for admission, however UHart students may redeem one free ticket at checkout by logging in with their UHart email.
