Man vs. Wild will provide the path to survival

When people think about what three items they would bring to a deserted island, it goes one of two ways; rational or very irrational. You could bring the essentials such as foodwaterclothing. Or perhaps you would want to bring things that bring you happiness while you sit there hoping someone will magically come, like candy or your phone. I, on the other hand, am going to go down the logical path. This is the path that would hopefully keep me alive until someone found me. First, I would bring a massive number of matches. Maybe I would eventually learn how to start a fire, but I can’t bank on that happening. Matches would allow me to cook food, boil water to have for drinking and cookinghave light at night, scare off animals, and give me warmth when it’s cold.

Who knew fire could be so valuable when you’re trying to survive, oh wait. Secondly, even though I am not the most religious person, I would bring a Bible. This would serve as my moral guide to life even when nobody else is there. Since it is also a pretty big book, reading it over and over could make the time go by just a little bit faster. The third thing I would bring would be a knife. Maybe if I didn’t have this, I could make some sticks really sharp, but again, I wouldn’t bank on that. I could build a shelter, feed myself and also defend myself. Even though I have used up all my three items at this pointI am establishing that this island is uninhabited and has some shade. Otherwise, you better believe I would bring sunscreen otherwise I might quickly die of sun poisoning.

Now, as for what famous person, I would bring with me. This is a tough choice, but again I am going with the logical one which is Bear Grylls who was in Man vs. Wild. He is the worlds most famous survivalist, but there are other advantages to choosing him.

First, he was in the military, so he could definitely find our way home with all of that training. Second, he is an adventurer so hopefully, he could come up with some creative ways to have fun while being stuck on an island.

Lastly, Bear is also a businessman so if we came across any pirates while being on the island he could negotiate a way for us to catch a ride back to some civilized land. Now hopefully, this never happens, but I think I’m pretty set to have a somewhat enjoyable life with all of these things.
