Women’s Volleyball rising players

The University of Hartford women’s volleyball team has announced the signing of two players to National Letters of Intent. The announcement comes after third year head coach Vinh Nguyen made several statements regarding the team heading into the 2020 year and new season upcoming. The players taking part for Hartford are Morgan Galligan from Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Along with McKenna Reiswig from Forest Hill, Maryland, that will be joining the 2020 program representing The Hawks.

Head coach Nguyen stated, “Our 2020 class will usher in the next generation of key positions for our Hawk program.” He also states, “They will join a veteran group and together they will continue to move our program forward in building a tradition at Hartford.We are excited for the future of Hawk Nation volleyball.”

Player Galligan has wrapped up her senior season of 2019 at UHart with a 12-2 record and it’s first overall WPIAL Divisional Championship in school history, this season she was also named First Team All Section and First Team Big 56 for Hawks.

In a statement, “She is also a right side attacker for “Canon-McMillan high school which adds to her versatility. Morgan is a great addition to our Hawk family and we look forward to seeing her compete for the University of Hartford.”

Player Reiswig is a 6-4 right sider, who just wrapped up her career at Bel Air, where she assisted in helping out the team by showcasing her leadership in leading the team to 44 wins during her four years with Hartford.

In a statement, “McKenna is a very gifted right side attacker that will add depth, height and athleticism to our roster. She is a 6’4 left-handed right side attacker from Bel Air high school in Maryland,” Nguyen said.
