Hartford’s Softball team traveled to New Haven, Conn., this past Saturday, March 3, for a double header against the Yale Bulldogs.  In game one, Hartford fell behind early facing a two point deficit at the end of the first inning.  They were never able to get much offense going as Yale held the Hawks to a shutout through the seventh inning.  Sophomore Danielle Rocheleau went 3-3 hitting while senior Kylie Dazzala notched the Hawk’s only extra base hit of the contest.  The final score in this one was 5-0 Yale.

The second game of the day started with both the Hawks and Bulldogs scoring a run in the first.  Hartford then took a 3-1 lead through the second thanks to runs from junior Amber Mianti and Rocheleau, before Yale tied it up with two of their own in the bottom of the third.  It remained tight throughout the rest of the game until Yale ultimately scored on a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth to secure the 4-3 win.

These losses mark numbers five and six on the year for the Hawks, bringing their record to 0-6.
