The Hartford women’s lacrosse team traveled to Binghamton Saturday, April 13, for their last away game of the 2018-19 season.  Despite high hopes, the Hawks failed to capture their first conference win in program history. The Bearcats took this one by a score of 17-5 to improve their America East record to 2-3, while the Hartford squad is still looking  for their second win of the season. Hartford grabbed the first lead of the game, with rookie Jessica Harrison scoring the first goal at 22:18. Until that point, neither team could manage to put one past the respective goalie. However, eight back-to-back goals gave the Bearcats a lead that the Hawks could not catch up to. In the second half, Hartford came out hot and scored three goals to bring the game within reach at a score of 10-4. Another Binghamton run solidified the win for the Bearcats on their Senior Day.

The goal scorers for the Hawks included two from senior Billy McLaughlin, two from rookie Jessica Harrison, and one knocked in by sophomore Debbie Phillips. Rookie goalkeeper, Emma Privitera totaled 20 saves to help her defense. With only two games left on the season, the Hawks host Albany on Saturday, April 20 at 12 p.m. and UMass Lowell on Saturday, April 27 at 3 p.m. for senior day on Al-Marzook Field.
