Female Athlete of the Week: Danielle Rocheleau

Mason Brooks, Staff Writer

It is only fitting that sophomore Danielle Rocheleau earns our final female athlete of the week for the semester, considering her dominant performance all year long for the softball team.  Coming off an impressive freshman year in which she earned a spot on the America East All-Rookie team, Danielle has not slowed down in 2019.  This past week at the annual athletes’ awards banquet, Danielle was named to the All-Conference First team.  Coming off her final weekend of regular season play, Danielle ranks second in the America East with a jaw-dropping batting average of .426.  This season, Rocheleau also broke the program single season records in hits, RBI, and total bases.  In addition, Danielle has also shown her effort in the classroom, boasting a 3.85 grade point average, which was good enough to earn her All-Academic team for the America East Conference.  We want to congratulate Danielle on an impressive season thus far, and the best of luck to the whole softball team as they begin their run for the America East championship.
