The Hartford Informer’s final male athlete of the week for the semester is freshman Will Nowak.  Will is currently in his rookie year and pitches for the Hartford baseball team.  Coming off a terrific four-year high school career at South Windsor High School, Nowak has immediately made his presence felt here at Hartford this season.  This past week, Will Nowak earned America East Co-Rookie of the Week honors following his impressive pitching performances against UMass Lowell in which he notched a win and a save on two occasions.  This is Will’s third time receiving Rookie of the Week honors this season, in which he has been pitching with an outstanding 1.82 ERA through 29.2 innings pitched.  He also is tied for the most wins on the Hawks roster with five.  We wish Will Nowak and the rest of the Hartford baseball team luck as they look to finish out the year strong heading into the America East championships.
