Fall Magic on Campus

Fall+Magic+on+Campus

To me, fall is the best season ever. The outfits are the best, the aroma of pumpkin and cinnamon fill my nose and the beautiful shades of red, yellow, and orange takes over my environment. To me, fall is the calm before the storm (aka winter). Another reason why I enjoy fall so much is because of this campus, which happens to look it’s best during this season.
This campus is filled with all types of trees and bushes that look provide a beautiful view for me whilst walking to class. People even get into the spirit of this “spooky season” and even decorate their windows. I have seen many times garlands of red leaves outlining windows, or the outlines of ghosts and goblins once it is closer to Halloween.

Do NOT get me started on Halloween, my favorite holiday of the year. The eeriness of this holiday is not lost on staff and students on this campus. Many take part and dress up in advance to and on the actual day of Halloween. I love it because it reminds me that I am never too old to enjoy it.

Now if we are talking about enjoying things, I have to acknowledge Starbucks and Commons. Once that all too familiar chill comes around, Starbucks places their creatively decorated sign outside that lets us all know what they have in store for us. It is nothing but warm drinks and spices galore once fall comes around. I love this because the fragrances from the pumpkin and cinnamon are strong enough to sometimes be smelled throughout parts of the library. Commons, on the other hand, likes to offer desserts aplenty that remind you fall is in full session.

I am a senior now, so this is my last fall experience on this campus. However, when fall comes around again next year, I will be comforted with memories I have of this place and my friends, for the last four years. Who knows, maybe by then it will be time to make new fall memories… wherever I am.
