The University of Hartford men’s soccer team clinches a spot in the America East Championship playoffs. The team officially claimed a spot in the playoffs after taking a win against Binghamton in a final score of 1-0 at the University of Hartford soccer field, all this action taking place during Senior Day at UHart.

The Hawks upgrade to a 3-2-1 in conference play, and are back within the top ten rankings of the America East. Players Nyrik Antoine, Sergi Martinez, Mevlan Lebiti all participated in the efforts against Binghamton, as their fierce determination, defensive plays, assists and shots were all perfect. Nyrik Antoine, who is a junior player scored the lone goal of the match, in just the first 45 minutes of the tournament. While goalkeeper and award-winning Jimmy Slayton, recorded a career-high for himself with 11 saves for the night, enough to keep his ninth shutout game of the season and earn more praise for his performances this season.

Catch The Hawks back in action as they faced-up against multiple teams within the next few weeks, as they remained at Al-Marzook Field to finish their regular schedule games before playoffs officially start for the month of November, amidst cold but mild temperatures.
