Women’s Volleyball clinches spot in AE championship

The women of the University of Hartford volleyball team have clinched a spot in the America East Tournament, after taking a win over UMBC this past weekend. Junior player Abby Nash delivered an outstanding performance on the court, having a high of 19 kills. Player Megan Anderson concurs a high of 46 assists in one game, as the team won over UMBC in four sets in the America East Contest.

Sunday afternoon so some amazing hits and defensive plays, while showcasing a fierce deliverance of energy, excellence, and acceleration on the court. Win the team’s latest win, Hartford improves to 14-12 on the season and 5-4 in the America East. In addition, The Hawks have clinch their second consecutive America East Championship spot, a spot in-which the team hopes to deliver in performance as they go through the America East Championships rounds.

The women of UHart will be back in hard action beginning Sunday, November 17th. A game the team will close out their regular season games, with an at home tournament contest against America East rivals New Hampshire. Kick-off is set for 1:00 pm at the University of Hartford.
