Hartford Hawks ace Nicholas Dombkowski improved to 3-0 on the season after shutting out the Citadel in a 2-0 Hawks victory.

Dombkowski is having a stellar start to the season for the Hawks. His performance in this shutout win was mesmerizing. He tossed 7 scoreless innings to go along with 8 strikeouts, while only allowing three hits.

Dombkowski has been outstanding in his first three starts of the season. Through 20 total innings, he has posted a 0.90 ERA. To compliment his insane ERA he struck out 20 total batters averaging about 7 strikeouts a game.

Dombkowski is a breakout star for the Hawks and is on pace to set a new career-high in all categories. He was also awarded the America East pitcher of the week honoring his performance. The following week, the America East pitcher of the week was also him.

The sky is the limit for the Hawks this year and if Dombkowski continues to pitch this well the Hawks could be a team to watch.
