1. The Seahawks are in trouble.

Coming into the season everyone had the Seahawks as their favorite to go to the Super Bowl in the NFC. However, as the season has gone on and Russell Wilson not playing as well as the first couple of games it has become clear the Seahawks are not who we thought they were. Despite the great coaching of Pete Carroll, it has not been enough to see them at the top of their conference. Unfortunately, for the Seahawks, they play in the best division of football. With the Cardinals and Rams, both playing elite football all three of them currently sit at 6-3.

Although they all have the same record the Seahawks have made the mistake of losing Multiple division games including one to the Cardinals and one this past week to the Rams. Their defense has been nothing short of abysmal despite adding Jamal Adams to their secondary in the offseason. This Thursday they have a huge division game against the Cardinals which is going to end up having huge implications on their season later in the year. If they don’t win this week, well, it’s not looking good for Russ and Pete.

2. Patriots are still a good team.

When the Patriots were 2-5 everyone counted them out and thought their season was over. This week they continued to show that when you are coached by the best coach of all time you can never be counted out. In a torrential downpour rainstorm, the conditions were not easy for either team as the Patriots hosted the 6-3 Ravens. Last week, the patriots nearly squeaked by the 0-9 Jets, and most people were picking the Ravens to win.

Coming into this game as underdogs the Patriots needed to prove that they can beat contenders and not just the Jets. With a depleted roster, they still managed to put a game plan in that would defeat the reigning MVP, Lamar Jackson. The Patriots still have remaining games against the Dolphins, Bills, Rams, and Cardinals but if they can manage to go 3-1 in those four games then they will have a good chance at sneaking into the playoffs.

3. The Dolphins are really good.

When the Dolphins finished the year 5-11 a year ago and had a strong second half of their season everyone was aware that they were getting better and Brian Flores was a great coach. The dolphins used this offseason to make improvements to their team by upgrading their defense and drafting Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Tua came in to start his first game when the Dolphins were 3-3 and has now led his team to a strong 6-3 record. The Dolphins have an easy schedule coming up that could very easily be 9-3 in a few short weeks. This team may not be contenders for this season but if given a few years, this is a team that can be very dangerous if the right pieces are put in place as Brian Flores had been an elite head coach and could potentially be the coach of the year.
