March Madness is back! Last year the best tournament in sports was canceled due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.  This was devastating for sports fans who were eagerly waiting for the tournament to begin.  The UHart Men’s team was set to play in the America East Championship which was also canceled due to the pandemic.  This year the team came back and delivered by winning the America East Championship!  This win earned them their first appearance in March Madness Tournament!  There is a total of 68 teams in the tournament competing for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball National Title.

This year has been an interesting team for Division I Men’s Basketball as there were many adjustments to make due to playing during a global pandemic.  A few of the perennial Powerhouse teams were not as dominant as they have been in the past with some of them even missing the tournament.  Duke and Kentucky are the two main teams that missed the mark this year as they have both missed the tournament this year after being quite dominant for a while.  Duke has won 2 National Titles in the past 10 years while Kentucky has won 1.  Nonetheless, there are a lot of great teams in the tournament who will make it an exciting one as always.

Gonzaga is a team that has been consistently great for a while but has yet to win a National Title.  This year it looks like they may have their best odds ever, being undefeated on the year and with a terrific 92.1 ppg as a team.  The last team to enter March Madness undefeated was Kentucky in 2015 who lost in the Final Four.  Being undefeated on the season is an incredible achievement, but they will face some real talent in the tournament who will give them a runner for their money.
